Frame:UnregisterEvent not working in 1.8?

This is one of those "am I crazy?" situations. I cannot get Frame:UnregisterEvent to work. There is no error, but it obviously doesn't have an effect either, since the "unregistered" event continues to be trapped.

Furthermore, Frame:UnregisterAllEvents doesn't seem to exist at all, despite what WoWWiki says.

Am I mistaken in my observations? If so, please correct me! If not, are there workarounds?

frame:UnregisterAllEvents() is for 1.9. It works on test. Iriel and the others are pretty fast on those updates it rocks.

What event are you unregistering for? Try it on test server and see if it works. I encountered a similar problem with UNIT_AURA on 1.8 and it works fine now on test.
