Cant dismiss pet

When I try to dismiss my pet (as a hunter) I get the following error:

nUI has been blocked by an action only available to the Blizzzard UI.
You can disable this addon and reload the UI.

Ofcourse disabling it is not on an option.

Can anyone please help?

-EDIT- Just checked with my warlock and I can dismiss my Felguard just fine...

Hmm, not played my hunter recently but it should be the same as demon pet in functionality. When I get back home after the weekend I'll take a quick look and see if it works fine for me.

You can't do this for the same reason you can't set focus. It's a protected function that only the Blizzard UI can use. All custom unitframes have the same limitation.

Hmm, I was sure I used the Dismiss Pet option on the unit frame before, whether it was something added since 4.2 I don't know though. But as they said it worked for warlock pets so should work for hunter pets as theoretically its the same functionality.

Can anyone explain to me a way to backup my addon list and then try with just nUI on to see if it works? I mean like I dont want to disable all addons and then not know which ones I use (I have 150+ mods) and not be able to turn em back on.

Just turn off all the addons and activate the ones you want turned on at the character selection screen. Or create a temporary folder in the addons folder and throw the addon folders in there that you don't want listed. I use the latter when I am upgrading addons.
