Issues with setting focus

This has worked in all the previous versions of nUI+, as to why it's bugging me.

I use focus a ton on my hunter, and just after the recent update to the plus version, each time I right click on my pet's (or anyone to be exact) portrait and select 'Set Focus' it comes up saying "nUI has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI. You can disable this addon and reload the UI".

Now, if I select my pet (or person/tank) and use the '/focus' command in the chat box, it will set the focus target...but only in the minimap part of the screen. That is taken care of by a reload of the UI, but it is still very annoying.

The focus menu thing has been a long time annoyance to many addons. The only work around is to use the focus ability in a macro /focus or /clearfocus. Which you have used.

The minimap area becomes your focus window until it is cleared.

pffl, only because I re-read the post and realised that they had been using the /focus command rofl. For a moment there I thought they had said they had used the focus menu on the pet bar rofl.

I'm confused by this statement... where else is it supposed to set your focus? And what does the '/nui rl' fix?

Well, when I would focus in instances using the click on the portrait and 'set focus' it wouldn't display it anywhere. I had just assumed that was how it was supposed to be.

well... as noted, the right-click menu option to set focus is broken and that is a Blizzard bug, not an nUI bug. And, since that was broken, trying to right-click to set a focus would obviously not have done anything. However, the '/focus' command does set the focus frame in the center of your dashboard as already pointed out.

So the question that remains unsanswered is, what does doing a '/nui rl' fix?
