Frate rates

I have done a test to see how come my frame rates seem to go down when I enable Nui+. I went to a very inactive part of wow (Blades Edge) and my fps was about 120-145 FPS. I disabled Nui and I had about 120-130 FPS (not much of a difference) I then went to dal without Nui+ and i had about 45-50 FPS. I then enabled just Nui+ and was runnig at 15-20 FPS. Am i doing something wrong?

There are quite a few threads on the frame rate subject floating about here in the forums. This is a known issue for some players and a large part of why the re-write for nUI 6.0

There are some things you can do to help.

For starters, follow the instructions in this FAQ: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=21716

Second, reduce shadow quality (or even turn it off) in the video settings.

Third, if you're having FPS issues in a raid, try switching away from the 25 man raid panel to the solo or party raid panels if you can. There is a known issue in the aura engine that gets worse with more raid unit frames.

In the meantime, nUI 6.0 will (hopefully) fix this issue once and for all for everyone.

Forgot to say that I did follow that suggestions but it didnt help much. AS for the raids, it seems like it's when I'm around more people so like in cities. I know frame rates drop when in cities, but it seems to drop a lot more with Nui. I still use it.

The additional drop in frame rate that occurs in cities with nUI is due to the increased graphics load the city presents combined with the design error in nUI 5.x which relies on too many update methods. That should be addressed in 6.0
