How do I disable the smaller map?

I just reinstalled Carbonite and cannot figure out how to disable to smaller map from appearing when I hit "M". I am using SexyMap as my minimap so I do not need the carbonite smaller one. When I hit "M" I only want the larger map to appear and then hit M (or esc) again to make it go away.

I had this setup before but cannot remember how. Can anyone help?

Look for an option (in the options menu) to close the map when hitting M (or whatever you set the key to.
