Targetless Buffing

I am looking for a way to display the recipient of my buff's name without having to target the person first. For some reason, this has been hard to explain to others, but I will try.

Step 1: Target Mob
Step 2: Left Click healing spell in action bar
Step 3: Left Click and cast spell on party member either at their portrait, or on their person and have a message appear stating I am healing that person. The target never changes from the mob.

Hence, targetless buffing.

I have been told that this method (without the message) is impossible, but I have been doing it (minus the message) for some time now. I just want to notify people that I am healing them, without having to target them first.

Is there something out there that can help?
