Need help

Hello, and thank-you for taking the time to read my post. Recently, i have become intrigued with the writing of macros and addons for world of warcraft. however, the only experience that I have that even comes close to writing anything of the sort is my experience in Blender 3D. So, I ask that someone help me get started on writing a mod. Is there a certain reccomended website to help me to understand the XML format? How can I use XML to apply applications (i.e. pictures, commands, text) to World of Warcraft? how does this work? Is there anything I should specifically learn (duh...everything, but point me in the right direction if at all possible, please)? Thanks in advance!

you also might want to download this, it has a few nice tutorials, and you can look at blizzards own code
