i didn't played wow from few months and a lot of changed in mean time. i used eqcompare before and i liked this addon but now is incompatible with the new patch. so, my question is what addon replacing eqcompare now? how can i have that information when i study an item in my inventori to be compared with one of i wear?

I'm not sure if its still hosted on this site, but I have that mod currently and its working fine. I would attempt updating it with the WoWAce Update off of Wowace.com or just redownloading it wherever you can find it.

Also note that this is now built-in into WoW default UI. Just keep the shift key down while mousing over an item and it will add the tooltip of what you are currently using. I guess it is not exactly a replacement as you still have to push the shift key as opposed to automated addons for comparison.
