LUA errors, Patch 3.3.5

So many, as a matter of fact, my framerates have dropped to 3, from 60+

My husband and I also had the same problems, though we are not going to demand that you "FIX IT!" so much as ask politely. We have become addicted to Carbonite =)

I haven't noticed any framerate drop myself

But what I have noticed is that the guide arrow doesn't turn smoothly with me anymore, it seems to hang wherever I am facing and then update every 10-15 seconds or so, to wherever I happen to be facing then. Just thought I'd mention it

I would post my errors, but I can't seem to figure out how to see them; it just comes up and says that there are errors, and that Carbonite is the one that is causing them...in addition to the framerate problems.

Open up World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\Carbonite\Carbonite.lua and change ChatFrameEditBox to ChatFrame1EditBox at line numbers 18702 and 18722. That eliminated the errors for me.

Ah, thank you - but those lines don't coincide with my own carbonite.lua - where can I look to find my personal errors?

THANK YOU. If you open the lua file "using a program from list", use notepad. Then "replace all" using his info about the ChatFrame.... stuff

I tried the mass replace (Backing up the file first) and it broke carbonite completely, so I restored the backup and it was still broke so I'm at a loss o_O

Guess I'll wait for the real update

Nice thing with messing around in the lua file......if you break it, you can just download a nice fresh unaltered copy from WoWI

I was able to gt carbonite working, but when i go into my quest journal, i cant click to watch quests or turn the watch off. anyone know how to fix this?

A friend of mine and I both use this addon, and as soon as the new update released me and him both had this error. i was so used to haveing low fps that i didnt even notice, and he was just sure his graphics card was dieing, then i realised that it was carbonite and i promptly made a quick fix. all this does is remove a few lines from the carbonite.lua, and this is not intended to be a permanent fix, it's just so you can use carbonite up until they release a 3.3.5 patch for it.

Instructions:
1.)download and unrar the file. if you dont trust it dont do it.
2.)inside of the file is carbonite.lua and carbonite(original).lua, the carbonite.lua is the fix, and the carbonite(original).lua is the original one. if at any time you no longer want to use this fix, just delete the fix and rename carbonite(original).lua to carbonite.lua and place it in your carbonite folder. my directory is C:\users\public\games\world of warcraft\interface\addons\carbonite\
3.)replace the carbonite.lua in the formentioned folder with the one i have uploaded for you
4.)profit, lag is gone

The search-and-replace suggested above is good for the quick-and-dirty hack, but the idioms in the WoW forum thread should provide more refined behavior.

I've had errors that look to be from carbonite since the last patch dropped too... I do use a lot of addons (or i think a lot though i know some use way more lol) so could be partly a conflict:

I'm certainly not demanding anything be fixed, lol, not that I wouldn't love it to be but the program seems to run alright other'n giving me errors on loading anyhow at least. I think overall carbonite's a great program and know people work hard at doing addons like this so demanding=bad manners and simply letting you know of errors=good to help the program, hehe.
