Chat Frame Issue nUI 5.06.26+

Hey Scott ive got a issue with the chat panel its not were its supposed to be and when i move it there re-size it and lock it its moved back on next login

if you need any more info just ask

I see the chat edit box is at the bottom of the chat frame, too.

Are you using any other chat mods? Prat? Chatter? Are you running the most current nUI (5.06.26?)

i am using Prat i just disabled it and this is how it looks on login now

Can you do me a favor and install either BugSack or Swatter and see if any errors are being logged. If they are, post me the first error message in the list.

i use swatter and there isnt any error being logged.

Can you run a test for me please...

1) Log in to WoW
2) Click "AddOns" at the character selection screen
3) Click "Disable All"
4) Scroll down to the "nUI" line and enable that
5) Close the addon window and enter the world

Is the chat frame still in the same place? If not, can you scroll back the chat frame and just make 100% certain that it says "nUI 5.06.26 is loaded"

I'm just trying to make sure all variables are eliminated.

ive already done all that i have actually deleted my WTF folder (just then) and logged in and the window was in its place were it should be... weird.

the only reasons i use prat is

1) time stamps
2) class colours
3) i can press up or down to scroll through what i recently said so i dont have to retype (LFG xxx or LF Enchanter...).

if you could add these to nUI i wouldnt have to use prat.

I *think* you'll find the new Blizz chat frames do all of that. Check your "Social" options.

There's also a Prat update that fixes the issue of the chat edit box at the bottom of the chat window. You might have to use a Prat config option to move it to the top... either way, if you have the most recent Prat, it should work.

Okay -- look at Prat's settings... there should be an option there for where to locate the chat edit box. Just move it to the top and you should be able to use Prat (at least, I hear Prat has been fixed for 3.3.5)
