Action Bar Issue

I can move things already on my bars from one place to another but I can't move new things into the bar. I am not sure if it's an issue or just me missing something simple. My action bars are unlocked so I know that's not the problem.

Oh, thats weird. Anything specific ? examples we could try to see if its a specific item that doesn't want to work. I know I have recently dragged macros and spells with no problems and not seen this problem at all.

I have tried several things but it seems to be uncooked meat wont work. What I was trying to do is drag food for my pet onto the vertical bar left of the character frame. Usually when you go to drag something the bars kinda light up showing where empty spots are and it only does that for me when I am dragging something already in the bar.

Ah, I dont think I have ever got uncooked meat on the bars nUI or no nUI. Try dragging a mixture of eating foods/drinks/spells/actions/macros. If those work then it is most likely just a limitation in the game on certain items not expecting to be on an action bar.

I just cooked some of it to see and it worked when cooked, I don't remember if I ever had uncooked stuff there before. Everything else I have tried works for me now, I guess I just need to cook my pets food first.

No probs. Despite not having a pet ( only recently created a hunter ) but I did try in the past to put meat I was farming on the action bar so I could keep track of how much I had. Nada. No go. I assume therefore that anything that isn't useable by yourself cannot be dragged onto the bar.

The problem with trying to put uncooked items on the action bars is that you can only put things on the bar that are usable by the character. Uncooked meat is not usable by the character.

However, you do not need to put *ANY* pet foods on your action bar. nUI has a built in pet feeder. Just click the happiness icon on your pet's unit frame to open the pet feeder.
