Can you tell me more about add ons???

What are they? At what level can you start using them?


Sorry if I ask dumb questions but I am brand new at WoW. I am still on the "New Players" world.

Addons are really just plugins for WoW that provide extra functions or just modify parts of the user interface. You can use them at any level and just about anytime you want.

I usually advise people to play the game for a bit without addons. This allows you to get used to the default UI, know its settings, etc. Once you find something lacking, or would like it presented differently, etc., then look for an addon to fill that gap in your playing experience.

Its not a dumb question at all. AddOns just complement and/or replace the stock blizzard UI(where you see the health of your player or target for example, these can be replaced with "Unitframe AddOns"). If you want to know more, I suggest just exploring the AddOns category on this site(and/or curse) and see what they are doing.
