Carbonite and Smoothwall

I am unable to get carbonite to install. I have installed it several times but it simply stops responding during install and does nothing until i shut it down. The only thing i can think of is my Smoothwall Firewall is blocking either incoming or outgoing port required for carbonite to install.

Carbonite says Carbonite uses ports 25 (SMTP), 53 (DNS), 80 (HTTP) and 443 (SSL). but it doesn't say whether they are incoming or outgoing ports and hot to go about setting them up. I have never had any problems with any other programs operating as per normal. can anyone please explain what i need to do to get carbonite working and how to setup the required ports.
thanks Allen

Carbonite is downloaded as a zip file. It is unzipped to the Interface\Addons folder. Addons can't use ports or access the internet, so I don't know what you are referring to.

Carbonite, the World of Warcraft addon (which is what this forum is for, and is hosted by wowinterface.com) is NOT the same thing as the www.carbonite.com on-line file back up service.

They are two (2) entirely different sites that do two (2) entirely different things.

http://www.carboniteaddon.com/ = World of Warcraft addon.

http://www.carbonite.com/ = Online file backup service for your computer.

Not too much of a difference in the interweb addresses, but a difference non-the-less. BIG difference in what they do, though.

You're welcome. No problem, the confusion is understandable.
