Turn off part of the art?

Is there a way to simply disable parts of the background art? Specifically I've moved the upper part, the part up top where the HUD selector and the micro menu is and I'd just like the background art to go away. I didn't think I was a total coding idiot but everything I've tried has been an epic failure.

Suggestions?

2 options, there's a addon that hides the top art but leaves the buttons visible, or use /nui console to hide it.

http://www.wowinterface.com/download...t_Console.html

http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=21199 ;

/nui console {on|off|mouseover}

Sets the visibility option for the top console where 'on' always show the console, 'off' always hides the console and 'mouseover' shows the console when the mouse is over the console.

/facepalm

OMG I swear I looked in the help files. Really. Of course it didn't register that piece was called a console. I'll go back to my Sudafed and sick bed and "loving squirrels" now. Thanks!

Thanks guys. FYI the /nui console command did not accomplish what I wanted as it makes even the buttons and menu go away which makes sense since they are child of the parent. (I bought a book, aren't you afraid?!)

But, the other link, for the extra transparent console addon totally did the trick. Now my menu is down with the dashboard and the other thing is out of my face. Thanks!

I know Scott has tons of cool ideas going for nUI6 but a way to enable/disable graphics like that might be a cool idea if its workable with the new way you're coding. (I understand why it doesn't work now).

P.S. only 4 more allie animals to go!

If you knew the nut-cases I'm working with you'd know I'm not afraid of that :-p

People in an asylum are more sane.

Then again... it depends on the book...
