Carbonite + Routes = massive lag

Disabled all of my addons except for Carbonite 4.031 and Routes 1.3.
Routes induces some kind of lag with Carbonite (the carbonite spash screen takes 20+ seconds to slowly show), and I get 4-5fps. with Routes addon disabled, i'm back to 60fps.

This is apparently a known issue with Routes, not sure why it lags the Carbonite splash screen so badly.
