Raid Rebirth

I wanted to be able to have the whole raid know who I was battle rez'ing and when. It's easy to have a macro announce to raid, but there isn't a way (that I know of) to announce wether it was successful or not.

Raid Rebirth detects when the Rebirth spell begins casting and announces it in raid chat. After casting, it can tell if it was successful, if spell casting was interupted, or otherwise failed. Whatever the case, the rest of the raid will know in raid chat. If you're not in a raid group, the addon does nothing at all until you join one.

This is my first mod, and I'm a little surprised that it doesn't make the computer blow up. If you have any suggestions, find any bugs, or have ideas for more features please post here.

This addon is a great idea. I do have a question, will this pick up other druids casting rebirth?

No, this won't pick up other druids spell casts. Having it announce everyone's rebirth is a good idea, so there's no confusion with druids who don't announce to the raid.

Thanks, I'll add this to the next version with the option of turning it off.

Does this require you to target the player you're ressing? or does it work with mouse-over casting? I use healbot for rebirth (among other things, of course).

So this is basically like how my addon Reviver works, except that it doesnt work when you click then target the person to res.

there is one about on curse erm cant remeber what its called something like shout announce, i have haked my copy about to work a little more how i wanted it.

You may want to look into SmartRes2, which takes out of combat, and battle ressing, to a whole new level.

Its cool to want to promote your mod man. But it is not cool to do it by hijacking someone elses thread about the same type of mod. Come on man have a little respect for your fellow authors.
