It's a total rewrite and work in progress.

I like that alot dawn Keep up the good work :O I was thinking of rewriting novel as well cause.. I'm getting bored of it. :O

also, if you wanted feedback on the minimap, i would pick the second one, errr middle one :0

Actually, I was going to suggest maybe releasing the Minimap as a separate addon, it's that fantastic!

The minimap and border taking the shape of the map area looks really great by itself, but I think if you look at a complete UI with that, it might look a little busy. Also, if you have a bunch of squares in your UI (action buttons, chat box, unit frames), having a non-square wouldn't coordinate.

Thing is, another square shape (especially a rather large one like the minimap) in one corner felt to heavy. Sure there is everything square, but that doesn't necessarily means that "all square" is the way to go, imho. Which left me with the decision between a round shape or something more interesting.

I think, I'll stick with the irregular square border as default. The normal square shape can be easily chosen via the minimap's config, if someone wants it to be more streamline.

Also, gonna keep an eye on that UI Dawn is doing. Very sweet. I haven't seen very many minimal and clean UI's that struck my interest, but that one has a lot of potential.

I dig the minimap you used in the actual screenshot.

Thank you for the compliment! I change my UI so much it would be hard for me to keep one updated here. Also, I have hijacked so many elements for my UI's from some of the great ones on here and wowace that I'm not sure I would feel comfortable loading a compulation as my own.

The new nameplates of ncUI. This screenshot wasn't taken by me, but by an user(hence the german). Apparantly my pixelfont doesn't like his reso, on my screen the pixelfont looks perfectly fine.

Usually it's only required that you credit them, unless you copied something completely. In that case just ask them and make a special link to their download site/portal/whatever.

Most people are cool with it, I've yet to see someone who isn't :P

Well you can change the shape to "square2" which is more "common".



After all, the map is optional, anyway.

I like the new version. It looks a lot cleaner, I would tweak some things, though.
* little less transparent castbar and/or a brighter color for it
* the actionbar looks a little irritating to me, transparent buttons in front of a panel, well...

Just my 2 cents!

I agree for the castbar. The transparency of the actionbar is actually alphabuttons, and whenI use a cooldown it comes into alpha fully so its easier to see :P I probably won't include it.
