Error on login with most of nUI just gone

I got this error code and most of the nUI info at the bottom (frames, hot keys, chat windows, etc) are all just missing.

/edit upon doing this I tried to load fraps to take a screen of the issue and doing so crashed wow, fraps, and one other program I had running at the time. lol

Try taking a screenshot without fraps. But for the issue with nUI, im useless, sorry.

This is the second time I've seen this issue with the nil in the chat frame come up... I'm not sure how this is possible... it can only happen if you don't have a chat frame at all... which shouldn't be possible.

I would suggest doing this... exit to your character selection screen and disable all of your mods then exit WoW completely.

Rename "WTF" to "WTF.saved"

Log back into WoW fully then log back out to the character selection screen and re-enabled your mods, then log back on your toon.

Does it work now?

Heh, I just got one very similar. I've been logged in for a few hours playing one toon, no issues whatsoever. Just dinged my alt to 40. Went and trained new spells, no issues. Logged out to send some loot around and got this. Screen shot also, if i did it all right, lol

Slight update: After taking a few screenshots, I figured what the hell, the frame may have just changed level and covered everything up. Typed out the /nui rl command, all better now. Couldnt tell you what happened though :/ I'll play more and post any other info if it happens again.

Bliz has to have changed something... that chat frame code hasn't changed in 8 or 9 months and all the sudden folks are getting this error. I'm gonna have to figure out what they've broken now /sigh

I dont know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, but last night was the the first time I've ever gotten that error. I tried logging in/out through my toons several times with different windows open, doing different things etc and wasn't able to reproduce the error again. For the rest of the night, nUI worked without a hitch. If all it takes is a quick UI reload to fix, I'm not gonna be to horribly concerned about it

Im betting Blizz is slipping some small changes that they dont think anyone will notice in early in preperation for the big patch.

Hm, something I just noticed, when I rename wtf and logg on for the first time with no mods enabled something screwie has happened to the chat windows.

Anyone else have this ?

That looks like the chat frames after you have disabled nUI (because nUI relocates and resizes them) but if you renamed your WTF, that data should have been removed and they should have defaulted back to their normal size and location.

Renamed the wtf, renamed the interface, relogged, still the weird chat windows.

So, either WoW has another place to save variables (haven't found them in the user account) or something else..

Anyway, going to reinstall everything when W7 RC1 is released on a new hard drive. Let's see what comes first.. patch 3.1 or W7 RC1

Just a follow up. I received these same series of errors for the first time today when I logged on. I found I could just type in "/nui rl" and it fixed the problem. I know there is no place for this to show up, but I just hit the "enter" key and typed in the characters. It worked for me.

This was with a fresh install of nUI. I renamed the WTF and Interface files because I had a different issue. I will post about that in a new thread if it hasn't been resolved. That issue also started about 2 days ago.

I had the same thing happen just now when I created a new Death Knight. I didn't think to reload, but logging out and back in seemed to help. Very odd for it to happen out of the blue like that... I haven't updated any of my addons lately.

The addons I'm using that are the same as Vis is using are (not sure if this will help or not): Auditor2, Bagnon, Carbonite, Fubar2Broker, FubarAuditorFu, nUI, nUIConfigGUI, RatingBuster, and Recount.
