Map question - extra arrow?

Just started using Carbonite after a long break from WoW. Looks very cool but on the minimap there is one arrow that represents myself and another that points back towards the town I was recently in.

If I hover over the arrow on the map pointing away from me it tooltips one of the quests I currently have.

What is this extra arrow (it looks like the player location arrow) and how do I get rid of it? It seems like it is not necessary.

Just a follow up: I believe it was just the default mini-map "Points of Interest" setting... I've been away for a loooong time.

That is the actual Blizzard minimap, which is needed to show their tracking icons, since addons cannot get those locations from the game. You are seeing whatever the game is drawing into it.
