updated to the new beta 5.1 queued for random lich king instance ..... when I got in frame rate went to 1fps could not do anything (tried 4 times) downgraded to release version worked like a champ.. so there is something wrong with the instance maps and carb at least in gundrak) hope this helps

I had this problem several times in various instances as well. The FPS would drop down to 1 or less in worst case situations, and in the majority of situations it would just go down really really badly. I'd /reload and it would seem to be better for a little bit, but not long.

Also - and this is a major issue I encountered - in instances I was unable to accept quests. I could see the ! above the NPC, I could talk to them and click on the quest to see the description, but hitting "Accept" would do nothing. I completely removed the Carbonite folders/files and then put the release version in and immediately on my next login my lag/framerate improved and I could accept quests again.

I was also getting NxMap.lua errors (sorry, didn't write them down) with the beta build.

All of the above went away going back to the release version.

Edit: For clarity sake, I didn't encounter issues accepting quests outside of instances, only inside LFD groups.

The quest issue seems to be only in instances. I had same problem in ragefire and could accept them when I disabled Carbonite.

The error you were most likely getting is (got this myself in Stormstout Brewery) also had to disable Carbonite to get quest there and had no map other than blizzards..
