Mobmap & Lightheaded

Is mob map and light headed the same thing? I have both of them, but either I don't know how to use mobmap or light headed is that much better. Any advice or info would be appriciated.

They're completely different. Lightheaded shows wowhead quest comments, mobmap tracks mobs.

1. Open your World Map
2. Click the MobMap button
3. Select the search type from the tabs shown
4. Enter your criteria for searching
5. click the result that best matches your search
6 A marker should appear on your world map showing the mob/NPC/object you selected. In the case of multiple mobs, or roaming NPCs/mobs, an area will be highlighted

The two work well together, yes, but they ARE completely different addons with completely different uses.

Open up your quest log. Unless you're using some QL mod that changes it substantially, you'll see a very small square with a "?" mark inside of it next to most objectives in your QL. Click one of those, and MobMap will pop up a list of mobs that match that search criteria, and if applicable, the various zones where they can be found. When you've selected everything so it knows what you're looking for, it'll take you straight to your world map and place little white dots showing you every coordinate where one of those mobs has been sighted. This allows you to know the extreme limits of where they can be found, so you just look for them towards the center of the white clouds.
