Windows 7 help

I am running windows 7 and cant find the interface and addons folders are located in the world of warcraft folder to install nui+. I never add any other issues before cause i always used curse, but since curse will not work with nUI+ it would be very helpful if someone could instuct me in this.

On a Windows 7 box, you'll find your WoW addons folder in [ C: > Users > Public > Games > World of Warcraft > Interface > AddOns ]

Failing that, if you right click the icon you use to run wow and select Open Folder Location it should take you straight to where WoW is getting its information from including addon information. In that folder would then also be Interface/AddOns/ ... etc

This is why I disable that protection crap first thing - so stuff doesn't get shoved in out of the way places

Or you could take one minute to get familiarized with how things work and gain the benefit of a modern system

Or perhaps I'm a sysadmin who's been working with computers for 25 years and I don't need a system to do stuff I don't specifically want it to.

Maybe you chattal need help in not letting stuff on your system, etc, but us smart ones, don't.

lmfao.. I too, have been using computers for many years.. 30 actually. I had a C64 in 1980.. BUT. Only a (person I disagree with) disables security options when there's better ways to do what you want done.

There is no such thing as too much security. If you have been a sysadmin for 25 years, you would know this. Especially since the way windows Vista and Windows 7 require admin rights, is exactly the same way UNIX and it's derivitives do. Or do you just stay logged in as root, like a (person I disagree with)?

EDIT: (spiel) I edited this to remove the unnecessary insults. The points are valid, but it can be done without name calling.

Heh. Well, if we're showing off, my first computer was a CDC 1604. 32K RAM, 5 MB hard drive. Filled a room, cost ~$100K a month to run. No, I didn't own it - didn't have the $10 Million to buy it, or for that matter a place to put it. It was Cornell University's. That was 1965. 45 years ago.

First computer I owned was a Bell and Howell "Black Apple", ca. 1981. A mere 29 years ago. I bought it so I could play Wizardry.

Perhaps we should pull this discussion back to the OP? And help the poor guy with his WoW addons instaed of bickering about why there's security features in Windows 7.

If you run a 64-bit based system, and there's a good chance you do if you have a relatively new PC, and have used the default install path. Then you can find your WoW installation folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\

I know the thread is old but I had to throw my 2c in. Since we're talking about first computers, can anyone beat a Timex Sinclair with 4k memory as a dinosaur first, followed by a Commodore Vic-20 and an Atari 400. My first computer mod was to replace the flat panel keyboard with a 3d party model with real keys.
I will never forget waiting 30 min to load a 48k game tape. Yuck. Life became much brighter the day I got my first disk drive. :P

The first "desktop" computer I ever saw was in 7th grade, circa 1964 or 65. It was essentially a huge calculator. I was blown away by it's ability to do square roots :P.
