Gray section in the HUD.

Hello everyone. I hope this isn't a stupid question. I've searched every way I know how, but I'm not really sure what key words to use.

When in an encounter with a mob, as the health decreases, there is a gray section of the indicator. I was trying to figure out what this is actually tracking. I'm sure it is something useful, but without knowing, I find it a bit distracting as I'm trying to watch the health monitor for myself and the mob.

Thanks, and please don't be too harsh with me if the answer is obvious.

I think I figured it out. Is it an indicator as to how much damage your last hit did? ~K

Yeah... it's showing you the "change" in health and/or power... either the up ticks from healing or the down ticks from damage, etc. It just gives you a visual of how much damage and healing is being done relative to overall health, etc.
