shutting detailed map off?

I just may be completely blind to the option here -

but after a certain amount of zooming in, the map swaps from the basic in-game version to the detailed version. I really can't stand this, is there anywhere I can turn it off?

I apologize if it's obvious, I just cannot figure it out.
