Just like any addons u download, they go into your Interface/Addons folder.

You can add pretty much any addons you want with nUI. I use both lightheaded and WIM as well a various other mods wihtout fuss. you don't have to do anything special.

You are correct. This appears to be a bug I introduced in the last alpha release before the public release when I was trying to fix the problem of FuBar making the main Bliz bar reappear when the player zones. Unfortunately, it didn't get caught in the last day of testing, so that bug made it into the public release.

In any event, I'm working on it and will try and get a bug fix out sometime today/tonight.

It is actually intentional... Combo points appear both on the HUD and on the unit frame. There are those who do not like to use a HUD and, thus, turn the HUD off... so, I have to have combo points on the unit frame for those players. However, for those who do like a HUD, combo points is something you definitely want to be able to see front and center... thus they appear in both places.

The minimap was dead center in Beta 1. However, we had major issues with the size and location of unit frames for parties and raids which used to be where the info panel is now and were way too small to be functionally useful.

So, I came up with the idea of the switchable unit frame panel in the center of the dashboard that you see now and moved the minimap to the info panel to make more room for the unit frames which for every 20 man and higher raid panel I've attempted so far is still pretty tight.

In answer to your question of what the empty space in the center is for... that's where your focus frame goes which is a critical unit frame for a great many, if not most, players.

That said... However, that won't happen until after the WotLK release.

Global Settings for chat? Is there a way i can keep same settings for all characters ( fonts mainly and hud changes ).

Noticed the bank is bigger then blizz normal bank ( guild bank ) is there a way to make it smaller at all?
This one puzzles me... nUI does not modify the size of anything except your bags if you use the '/nui bagscale {n}' slash command. I have no clue what might have changed the size unless perhaps you removed another mod that was previously changing the size of the bank frame.

I am thoroughly impressed so far. I am going to test out hunter now to see the changes.

Only some very trivial changes... not even worth documenting like moving a bar position a couple of ticks and things like that.

I don't like to make non-trivial changes between the last alpha and first beta or last beta and first release because you almost always end up introducing new bugs as a result and get a ton of egg on the face. If the last alpha is known to be reasonable stable, then it becomes your beta candidate, etc.

There is, unfortunately, no easy way to make things larger or smaller as everything is fit together kind of like a puzzle. If you make the buttons bigger, then they overlap and you have to rearrange the entire dashboard, etc.

It's kind of a no-win for me... for every "everything's too small" comment I get, I also get an "everything is too big" comment ~sigh~ So, I kind of have to try and find a happy middle somewhere.

One thing that I do know helps a lot is to use a wide screen display mode. This increases both the height and width of the dashboard relative to the world frame and thus makes everything bigger in the dashboard. (technically, in wide screen mode, Bliz does not add width so much as remove height which has the effect of zooming in on the world frame and its contents)

I play in 1920x1200 wide screen with the '/nui console mouseover' option set which to me produces a very usable dashboard together with a very clear play area. My opinion only of course.

Gothicknight -- yup... same bug. Because I have changed how I deal with concealing the main Bliz bar, the action buttons are not getting processed correctly when the action page changes and thus the keybindings are not getting updated. I'm working on it and hope to have a fix today.

EDIT: I have been able to confirm that the fix for the FuBar bug is what has caused the keybinding problem on the rogue/druid stealth and zombie states. Now I have to come up with a solution that both fixes the keybinding bug and still addresses the problem with FuBar/lib-Jostle making the main Bliz bar reappear. /sigh

RE-EDIT: I have been able to work out a fix that appears to both solve the shapeshift/stance/stealth problem as well as resolve the bug in FuBar/lib-Jostle... I will be putting out an update sometime tonight as a result

Is there anyway to set an option that will allow the minimap to be in its original location?

I have been successful with editing the code to remove the minimap from the info panel. Dont know how easy it will be after adding it to the center panel again.

im still new to programming and learning on Python, so Lua is a bit different.

if not that is cool, im sure i can figure it out with some help .


great work man, soon as i get back on top of my finances and this house ill send ya some for your time on this :-) may be around the 1st or so

Exclamation New nUI Info Panel Integration Module...

For those of you who use the HitsMode addon, Kodewulf has created an info panel plugin that integrates HitsMode into nUI... this is the first third party addon to nUI that I'm aware of.

I'm loath to do this for a few reasons I suspect I'm going to later regret, but I'll look into it.

Well... to some extent, that "adding back to the center panel again" thing would be an optional download like the one Kodewulf just put out... so it wouldn't change things for you. But, all the same, I'll add the new option to toggle minimap management on/off.

I have run across one other issue. May or may not be an nUI issue. When I loaded up nUI with Titan Panel, all was well, until I selected the option to show both bars. When the UI reloaded everything was huge and I had to use escape and logout. Works fine with just the top bar, but will not work with top and bottom bars on for me.

Problem

Since loading NUI has anyone noticed a problem with cartographer not working? I mean when you open up map and right click to back out ot larger area it no longer works and when you try to click the x for map it no longer functions and pops up with a error? It didnt happen before NUI was installed so was curious if anyone else noticed this and if so were they able to fix it.

Make sure you have the latest version of Cartographer. I had a similar problem for a while, but it went away. The only thing I did was update my addons using Curse Updater.

awesome good to hear also btw i mentioned it earlier that this UI was awesome but now that ive used it its even more so than before loving it so far even with the bug ;p once thats fixed i might just want to marry it now to come about finding a way to do that.. lol anyhow thx again.

the color bar with mobs name in the center area of dashboard will be red if your tag or gray if someone else's tag.

Jeval -- in addition to the prior reply, the party leader's unit frame will have a small crown on it to indicate their role.

Exclamation nUI Beta 3 -- Update 3.02.00 has just been released...

This update changes, yet again, how nUI manages the default Bliz frames, action buttons and bars that it is replacing in order to (a) fix a bug that was introduced in 3.00.04 alpha in the shapeshift/stance/stealth bar and (b) still correct for the bug in FuBar/lib-Jostle which was causing the Bliz main bar to reappear when the player zoned.

There are no other changes in this update though I do anticipate another update in a day or two to try and address the issues with Titan Panel that have recently come up.

found that the mob health bar don't always go down when you hit the mob and got pictures that shows it

I have not seen that happen myself. Interesting. Do you have any other mods installed besides nUI? MobInfo by any chance? I need to try and figure out how to reproduce that error so I can track down the cause.

I'm assuming you got no error messages, correct?
