i use xloot too , that is why i was asking about the screencaps, ill dissable xloot and take a look later

The problem with the default Bliz party/raid (group) looting windows were that the primarily that the first one that opens opened directly over the dashboard hiding the action buttons, focus and part of the player and target unit frames which is a real PITA if you're in combat and some yo-yo decided to loot.

Really the only "problem" window was the first one that opens. When there's more than one loot controlled item on the mob, then the second window opens above the first one, etc, up to a total of four windows.

In order to solve the problem of the first window overlaying the dashboard, I moved it to the top of the screen under the console and then placed each additional loot window below the one before it so it builds down instead of up. That way if someone loots while you're in combat, the loot window will not interfere with anything combat sensitive.

This only applies to group loot need/greed and not the normal loot window.

Hey scott awesome ui ive never been partial to complete setups before but this one is great. Only issue ive had since i started using it about 2 months ago is that my tool tip is forced to the bottom left corner of screen over the chat window at log in im able to move it by nui slash command (which actually shows it in the correct spot) but it always resets. This im sure is a problem with cowtip mod which alters the tool tip but i thought you might have an idea to fix it /crosses fingers

Neuralassassin -- (does that mean you're killing brain cells? ~grin~)

Thanks for the heads up... this is something that's been mentioned a few times... nUI and Cowtip not playing well together. I'll grab a copy and see what I can sort out since CowTip is such a popular mod.

I'm using TinyTip, and lately all mobs are showing names in yellow....hostile or not.I've tried looking in TinyTip...and saw nothing. I have never messed with the settings.

Druid key binding bug...

I'm posting this over here from the nUI comment board, as well, to try and get more feedback from the Druids that are having problems with the new key bindings...

I'm having a real problem with this bug -- there have been a few druids that have mentioned it and I cannot reproduce it, nor can I offer any explanation for why it would occur. The simple fact is that nUI now hard binds your key bindings to the action button so when you press the corresponding key it performs a left click on the button. At the same time, Bliz is entirely in charge of deciding which action is to be performed on that button... if it is displaying the action you expect it to perform, then Bliz already decided that's the right action. So why the key binding would not perform that action that is being shown is a total mystery to me made worse by the fact that I cannot reproduce it.
  1. I would really like a LOT more information from Druids that are experiencing this problem.
  2. Does nUI report that version 4.05.00 is loaded when you log in?
  3. When you shapeshift, does the action bar change to show the correct set of actions for the new form or does the bar completely fail to update?
  4. When you press the key for the action you want to perform, does it do nothing, or does it just perform the wrong action.
  5. Does this problem only occur while you are in combat?
  6. Are there any error messages printed or any messages about an action being blocked because of taint?
  7. Can you provide a set of steps to execute that will cause the problem every time? (that would be worth its weight in gold if it allows me to see the problem first hand)

ToT Health Not Updating?

Been using your interface for a couple of weeks now (just picked up the latest release today). The only issue I've found so far is that my target's target does not update it's health. As a healer I like to keep the MT targeted so it's kind of annoying not to see the boss's real health. It doesn't update in either the HUD or the group panel. Has anyone else experienced this?

This is an issue that came up once before and again earlier today... it's on my list of things to fix and a top priority, so the fix will be in the next update.

thanks for looking into the tooltip thing in the mean time is there a line in nui i can edit so it no longer controls or effects the tool tips position?

'/nui tooltips default' will cause nUI to no longer interfere with the tooltips in any way
'/nui movers' (as an alternative) will allow you to place the tooltips wherever you want them to be located

Well okay i have a mousover on your xp bar on the bottom left but when i played a while it doesent appears anymore, even when i have only nUi activated in my addons list.

A permanent percentage and total view is nowhere to find

Experience and Reputaion bars

First off fantastic UI, long time mazzle user and just want to thank you for creating your UI for those of us who cant stomach playing with the default Blizz interface. As always i just have one minor bug. After downloading and installing the update my experience and reputation bars do not update. It takes a /nui rl for the bars to update and they still do not update automaticlly. This is the only issue i have had and has only begun to happen after installing the latest update. Thanks for your time and continued effort to make this the best UI out there.

Speil,

I arrowed over my first rare mob yesterday and the alert was wonderful. Then I started thinking about one of the mods I use for guild and party chat that could go away if it was built in. Basically, each kind of chat has it's own "chime" noise. When I first installed it I thought it would be annoying......and it can be sometimes when the guild really goes to town chatting it up, but most of the time it is nice to get a chime when someone types something in guild chat or party chat while I am out questing or whatever. Helps me stay connected because I have tendency to turn WoW into a single player game and ignore my chat frames sometimes. Maybe you could build toggle options into nUI to to make noises for chat and other things that people may like to be alerted too. Suggestions would be nice from other people becaude I never would have thought of making a sound for rare mobs, but when I saw it in actions I was like "Hell Yeah!" Additionally, time stamps would be nice in chat as well (don't know if this is nUI settings or not).

Anyway, just some thoughts now that you are refining nUI rather than squashing any major bugs. Nice work as always. I love it when a great idea catches me off guard like the rare mob thing.

Visual Oddity

I noticed yesterday a small blue circle in the bottom right of the minimap, overlapping onto the NUI panel set. I'm at work now or I'd post a screenshot.

Has anyone else experienced this non-impacting visual ?

(I haven't yet played with disabling other mods as the DK hit 70 just before I hit the Bed )
