As for using different anchors for the units and items, I have no plans to do that at this time and it's a fairly complicated system, so I'm not sure I want to tinker with it too much.

Just did it and back to normal.
Do you know of any other mods that may provide that functionality?

Not sure myself... I don't use tooltip mods... The popular ones are CowTip, TipTac and TinyTip... not sure what others there are. You might start by looking at them.

yeah, the fix does what its ment to, but every so often, it will jump to the top left corner, if i move the mouse it goes to where its spose to, not sure why its doing it, and its only the current version doing it

Yup blinky prob seems to be gone for multi loot items as well after applying fix. Now my only gripe with tooltips is that people with long titles create rediculously long tool tips on mouseover.

i seem to have some compatability issuse with the new tooltips and equipcompare, i still get the blinking tooltips if i try to mouse over the item in the roll screen, it flashes up for a few seconds then vanishes, works fine if i mouse over the one on the boss, but not the loot window, not sure how it goes with multi loots.

Are you using another tooltip mod with nUI? If so, have you used the '/nui tooltips default' slash command to disable nUI's management of tooltips?

Hmmm... if you have the tooltips sets to default, then nUI has *nothing* to do with any tooltips other than action bars and units and then it *only* adds information to whatever tooltip you have. It does not position the tooltip in any way and would have *nothing* to do with equipment, inventory or loot tooltips whatsoever.

I'm a little miffed at what the issue might be.

yeah, it does seem odd, and its only the current version of nUI that does it. works fine on the version before 06

just downloaded the EBF, and its still flicking the tooltips to the top left cornor, seems to only do it for a moment though, i used the slash command to force default, no luck, even changed it with the GUI, still seems to do it, it does it if i quickly jump over my player frame to a skill, using Cowtip, anyone else have this issue with any of the other main tool tip mods?

And it is doing this with nothing except nUI installed and active? o.O

If you have used '/nui tooltips default' then nUI flat out does not touch your tooltip size or location -- ever.

as i mentioned, i'm using cowtip, due to the fact i use mobinfo3, i dunno way, but i reverted back, even with the ebf, i'm still getting errors, i get a cooldown error now. eh i can live with the jumping.

Another question, how can I stop nUI adding info to unit tooltips. I've got it set to default, but it is still adding things like health, mana, talent spec etc. Its definately nUI doing it as I disabled it and the extra info went away.
I'm using TipTac as it gives me what I was looking for earlier and it already gives me this info.

There is no option in nUI to disable that information. As with most elements of nUI, it goes against the design philosophy of the addon to disable the features that are built into it in order to use another mod to do the same thing. If there's a feature in the other mod that is "must have" I would rather know what it is and have the opportunity to add it to nUI than to just turn nUI's abilities off.

Well the only thing that I really like about tiptac is that you have an anchor for tooltips from the actionbars and from units, but for items in your bag or on character panel, it puts tooltip nearby. I just find it annoying to have all tooltips anchored to owner as then they get in the way. If there is anyway you could incorporate something similar to that function within tiptac it would be awesome

I use tiptac also honestly its the ability to customize that got me. You can change bar textures, the info that's displayed like hp mp guild title, borders backgrounds and you can have the mouseover targets buffs displayed above or below the tooltip. I'll play around some more tonight and see if anything else is in there it's been awhile since I changed any options. Now obviously you may not be able to incorporate all of this I just wanted to give you some ideas.
*side note with new version the mouseover tooltip still switches back and forth from top right(tiptacs plaement for me) to top left (nUI's placement im guessing?) even though nUI tooltips are set to default. I copied the fix you had posted and it fixes it though. Am I mistaken or wasn't that supposed to be fixed in the new version?

I took a shot at a fix in the last update which didn't work. The will be another fix in tonight's update, as well, which I hope will work.

i *think* it might be carbonite, track a quest and highlight the way point arrow, and for some reason it highlights my char and the tooltips immediatly snap to the top left, every time without fail, not sure why. but thats what i found so far.

I use carbonite as well, but the last time I did a 25 man (around .06) carbonite was disabled and the loot windows did the blinky thing.
Up to .07 and I finally got into a couple instances and it was still blinking, though carbonite was enabled...

I'll try and get into an instance sometime today to check .10

You're doing a great job and sticking to what you say you're doing Scott, I wish I had the money, I'd SO donate to help keep your efforts going. But remember, even those of us who don't have the money to donate support your efforts by spreading the word. Keep up the great work! I don't know what I'd do without nUI.
