Mod to show when five second rule will apply?

I was looking for a mod that shows when it has been 5-seconds since my last spell was cast so I know when I will be regenerating mana. I have CTMod's HP/MP regen frame, but I'd like to see how close I am to approaching 5-seconds. Currently, I also use X-Perl unit frames and for my toons use energy, it has a nice energy ticker which shows a growing bar that alerts me to when the 20 energy/2s ticks are coming. Something like that for the 5-second rule would be great.

Fubar_RegenFu has a nice countdown timer for the FSR (along with tons of other useful information). This all assumes you use Fubar

Very cool! That's exactly what the type of thing I was looking for - the bar and everything. I don't currently use FuBar but I've considered trying it or Titan Panel since I currently have like 12 buttons on my minimap for accessing addons, many of which are FuBar/Titan compatible :O

I use NabuFiveSec.

It's a small standalone five second rule bar that is very nice if you don't want to use Fubar.

PitBull unitframes has a 5 second rule timer built into the mana bar, and it also has the energy ticker built-in for rogues/druids in cat form.

I downloaded Nabu and it works very well. I didn't have time to check out Fubar before a raid so Nabu was the simpler option. Its pretty much plug and play and can be easily dragged around. Are there commands for it? I'd like to remove the bar's label and maybe change its opacity.

I'd check the addon folder for it and see if they included a readme. More often then not there is one. If there isnt one in most cases there arent any options. Though occasionally thats not the case then its forum digging time.

Yeah, I checked the addon folder earlier for a readme or something similar but there was none. I did find it on Curse gaming http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/5460/

To show the available commands, it's simply "/nfs".

Unfortunately, there are options for opacity or the bar's label.

Hmmm, upon looking at the code, NabuFiveSec, as well as RegenFu and other mods, seem to only track 5 seconds after the player's mana decreases. It seems this would be inaccurate regarding long channeling spells, as well as mana burn effects. Does anyone know if a 5-sec mod that ccounts for these?

The Five Second rule says that for 5 seconds after any spell completes casting, you will not regenerate mana. So you are correct, any long channeling spells are not going to accurately represented by these fsr bars, due to the way they are coded ( at least Nabu).
However I do find that instant spells seem to be on par.

if you run any other Ace2 based mods, you may want to consider downloading either DeuceCommander or Niagara. Both of these mods will give you easy access to the /commands of most Ace2 mods including NabuFiveSec. You can resize the bar, adjust color and bar texture. However it easiest to do it via DC or Niagara.

I would suggest only using deucecommander or niagra only if your run mostly ace2 mods. Have it for 4 or 5 mods isn't really worth using it. imo

Nabu commandline

There are multiple names for the Nabu commands, but an easy one is /nfs
(Nabu Five Sec) Just type /nfs and it'll tell you what other options you have. To hide the frame and the title, lock it (/nfs lock).

Note that in the fubar one, it uses the exact same looking little bar, but you shift+click on the fubar text to lock it's bar.
