Dev Software?

Is there any piece of editing software that would let me test mods outside of the game? Anything with good syntax highlighting?

I'm looking to make my own version of Dr. Damage since support fort that mod is non-existent, and all of it's equations and calculations are out-dated.

I remember seeing software called wow-scite once upon a time...

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think there's anything that lets you test addons outside the game. Except for plain syntax checking of course.

There's "luac -p", which tells you immediately if there are syntax errors.
