It was a similar error with QuestGuru so hopefully it will get fixed before I start questing again. I use the history portion of the addon which I haven't found anywhere else yet.

And, I've not figured out how to get to the DevTools options so I will have to re-read the forums to see if there are slash commands I overlooked.

Looks like Rock was updated earlier in July. MonkeyQuest hasn't but it should be ok based on the code I just looked at... or maybe not :-P

Use the addon kit to extract the framexml and built in addons and look in \Blizzard Interface Data\AddOns for a folder called Blizzard_DebugTools

The majority of the code looks like it's contributed by Iriel, and since he maintains DevTools, hopefully it'll be up to the same quality as the real thing. But I never hold my breath when it comes to Blizzard's new addons.

The event trace is pretty cool - brings up a box with events as they happen and time stamps
