I am a French Priest and i saw a little mistake in location.lua :

SMARTBUFF_PRIEST[2] = {"Protection contre les T\195\169n\195\168bres", nil, false};

has to be :

SMARTBUFF_PRIEST[2] = {"Protection contre l'Ombre", nil, false};

As well, i have "Esprit divin" with Discipline skill ("Divine spirit ? ")
i have just add :

SMARTBUFF_PRIEST[4] = {"Esprit divin", nil, false};

and it works fine.

Hey Aeldra,

Some bugs in the 1.10 version:

• With SmartBuff set to check for buffs every so many seconds, it only seems to actually do the check when I mouseover a player/NPC/critter in the game world, rather than at the intervals set. (Not sure if that is by design or ...)
• On my priest when I set it to check for Divine Spirit but didn't have that or had instead Prayer or Spirit on me, it was either warning me that I was missing PW:F (when I had the group version on me instead) or giving me an error at line 883 of SmartBuff.lua: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value).
• With my dwarven priest, if I don't have Fear Ward on my action bars (e.g., because I have it macrod) SmartBuff gives me a warning message when I Apply/Done the options frame, even if I don't have Fear Ward selected, and even if I have all the SmartBuff turned off (in the top-most check box). I'm guessing this should only be checking for this if I have it selected?

And a few requests:

• With 1.10 there is a new group version of the priest Divine Spirit buff, called Prayer of Spirit (reagent is Sacred Candle, same as Prayer of Fortitude).
• In regards to deciding when to use the group version of a buff or not, it would be nice if the number of players could be selectable. Currently I believe its hard-coded to 4, but if that could be made an option (e.g., I'd like it to be just 2 for my priest for example).

  Looking through the code, it appears there is an undocumented command line option to set this to either 1 or 4, but thats it without modifying the code.

• It would be nice if the SmartBuff options frame would close on an ESC key press, like most frames do.

Hi Cirk, thanks for your inputs.

I am working on it and I hope I can upload a new version this evening. The problem are the new Priest buffs "Prayer of Spirit " and "Divine Spirit (Rank 4)", which are missing in the current version.

You're right it uses the mouseover event, but before it checks the buffs, a Interval check is done.

I will also add a slider for the group buff size
and psssst, don't publish undocumented commands :P

quite simply this is the mod i have been trying to find for several months now - i previously used buffbot but that has a bug where it completely locks up wow when you zone/log in while in a raid (for me/my combination of mods at least) and whispercast (which everyone finds annoying to use)

my only request in terms of features is for the mage spells amplify magic and dampen magic to be added (melee-only bosses, for example, are much easier with an entire raid buffed with amplify magic)

in general, smartbuff is simple and seems to work very well, however occasionally it falls apart when i open up the map
- it claims it can no longer find my spells on the action bars (despite nothing having moved)
- each press of the bound button or call to /sb will recast the same buff on me (even when it is already on me)
- every N seconds it reminds me that i need rebuffing
this happens after i open up the map and close it again
i have tested this after disabling all other mods except the blizzard ones and it still produces the same behaviour

These issues should be fixed in version 1.10a, otherwise please let me know.

I need some input, what buffs make sense to implement for:
- Shamane
- Warrior
- Rogue
(- Paladin)


French localization and minimapbutton bug should be fixed in next version.

Just a minor feature request for a great mod that has changed my lazy autobuff self..

is it possible to adjust the font size and location of the splash? as I said its minor, but I want to tone it down a bit and move it up..

Hey great addon even used it before patch day as a group buff mod

Now I miss something though. I play a druid and most of the time solo

I would like the option to recast my buff if there is less then 20 sec left. Doesnt have to be 20 sec, could be more could be less.

That would just put this mod over the top

I would love to see Mana shield added for mages! That would be a great addition.

Also, what about adding things like find herbs for herbalists, etc?

Version 1.10d supports all tracking abilities.
I will release a new version in a few days, there are some new buffs supported for mages like: Mana Shield, Fire Ward, Frost Ward and Ice Barrier.

I love "smart Buff" works great on all the classes I have tried it on but I have run into a small bug on my Shaman ... When i have it to check for the Weapon buff "rock biter" it will flash screen me that it is not active even if it is. i am not sure if this is the case for all the other weeapon buffs since my shaman is only level 8. Also I only tried this on a Single hand weapon, It might not be the same for 2 hand weapon. just something I thought you might want to know about. Realy not a big issue since i can shut that buff off

What version do you use? Make sure that you have 1.10d, because this problem you described, was a bug in 1.10c. I have a lvl 5 Shamane and there it works

This is an awesome mod, thanks a lot for it! No more excuses for my guildmates to leave all the buffing for me because they 'forgot'...

The only thing that bugs me is the font used for onscreen warnings. Is there an easy way to change it?

At the moment is this only possible if you change the fonttype in the smartbuff.xml file. Maybe in a future release I implement this as a new option.
