5.02.5 still loaded?

I downloaded the new NUI+ today, like I always do when it comes out. When I log in it says that 5.02.5 is loaded and now 5.06. I have reinstalled the new one and I can't find 5.02 anywhere at all. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You're most likely installing it into the incorrect path.

For Windows XP, it likely belongs in [ C: > Program Files > World Of Warcraft > Interface > AddOns ]

For Windows 7 and Windows Vista is should be in [ C: > Users > Public > Games > World of Warcraft > Interface > AddOns ]

If you're unsure, try deleting the nUI folder and logging in to WoW... does it still show nUI in your addon list at the character selection screen? If so, then you're working in the wrong directory.

I have windows 7 and I really haven't had this issue before unless I just didn't pay attention to it. It is located in my program files. Do I have to reinstall all of WOW or can I just copy into public and delete the WOW folder in program files? Sorry for the noob question and Thanks for all your hard work to make this a wonderful tool for my experience.

Odds are you have two copies of WoW installed now... if you look in your file system you'll almost certainly find that there's a directory for [ C: > Users > Public > Games > World of Warcraft > Interface > AddOns ] and that is where you should be installing nUI.

The old [ C: > Program Files > World of Warcraft ] path does not work well in Windows Vista and Windows 7 because WoW can't write to that directory tree (permission issues) as part of the security settings of Windows.

I'm not sure I would suggest deleting what's in the program files directory though. Just look and see if the Users\Public path exists and try putting nUI in there and see what happens.

Well, there is a blizzard entertainment folder in the users path but it only has the patches. I did end up putting the interface folder in that path and ran WOW again. NUI did come up as an add on but said it was out of date. I did a search and NUI only comes up in the public folder now. I know once I find the issue it will be easy but until then...

right click your wow icon, go to properties, then to compatibility, then check mark "run this program as administrator"

Right click over the WoW shortcut icon on your desktop and choose Open file location. That's where your game is installed and where you should be installing your addons (Interface\Addons\nUI).
