Nearby Minimap Nodes Stop Working

Nearby Minimap Nodes Stop Working. I can hover my mouse cursor over nodes that are further away, and they highlight areas of the map to show where the quest items/mobs might be found. It also gives me other details. However, when approaching a node, those close by are unresponsive.

Is there an option to fix this? I've gone though 20 pages of minimap forums and can't seem to find it.

If you're having this problem, uncheck "Minimap is drawn above icons".
