Location Ranges not showing on map?

hai guys ^^. just uh wondering if this is even a bug or not, but i've noticed this is the previous 4.03 beta and now the live one that i am currently using. when you track a quest on the minimap instead of showing a large "range" (Like a block for instance) such as the one showed on the bottom left here: http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw24867.jpg ALL quest tracking is shown as "single location" even gathering ones, and this is currently with all quests including pre-cata. (They all show up like the teal Circle/X's shown in the hold.)

I canot figure out how to change the settings in the menu and have looked through all of the features, is this a bug or just a change in the way carbonite displays? if this is not a bug i am requesting that in future versions an option to put the range back in, because its much more efficent that way, thank you! ^-^

There are no quest areas until the new database is done.
