Locking buttons

I have read the FAQ, other posts, etc. Is it possible to lock your buttons on the button bar so you don't accidentally move it / remove it, if not could you please implement this?

This is a feature already built into the Blizzard UI... just press "Escape" to bring up the WoW configuration menu, select "Interface" then "Action Bars" and select the option to lock your action bars.

Is it possible to add a small button/checkbox (mod like lockbar2) that locks them or even a macro so they can be locked quickly at the touch of a button?

I'm not sure what the benefit is since you can just shift-click and drag even when the bar is locked. The problem with adding a button is its "one more thing on screen" if you know what I mean.

I do intended to use the nUI logo to add a button once I have all the GUI built in to access the config and at that time I could include that lock feature in the config screen.

So if the bars are locked you can press SHIFT+CLICK and drag a button?!?!

Didn't know that...that solves my problem.

Otherwise, I found it handy at times to be able to click off the lock, move something quick and lock them back up in a matter of seconds.

Yupper... shift-click and drag works even when the bars are locked. I never unlock my bars as a result.
