Is it possible for an addon to send http request?

Hey there. I am 100% new to wowinterface.

Just wondering if it is possbile for a wow addon to send a http request like openurl ("xxx.com") and parse the received html page.

Nope, addons cannot 'talk' or interact with anything outside WoW

This is to ensure no addons could possibly do anything like steal your password or suchlike
