My request for an add-on would be one that does the following:
1- check what channels you joined ex. Trade LookingForGroup. and remember what number they are.
2- allow for a short message to be typed in.
3- allow for a reasonable interval at which to post the chat in that channel (without being so low as to cause spam)

[Channel][v] [Message] [Interval][v]

ex.
1-[LookingForGroup] [DPS DK LFG any Heroics] [3 minutes]
2-[Trade] [LFW [Jewelcrafting]] [5 minutes]

the display would look like

1- [4-LookingForGroup] [Eymbak] says: DPS DK LFG any Heroics
2- [2-Trade] [Eymbak] says: LFW [Jewelcrafting]

The chat given chat could also have a randomization feature Like say rotate between multiple different messages on the same channel. ie: LFW messages and WTB, WTS, PriceCheck, ... etc.

I really dont want my screen filled up with macro buttons (an addon would be make it much more simple) Is that not what addons are for?

this sort of addon would really clean up my UI.

As for the gold seller portion! a limit to how often and how long the messages are would porbably solve this...youll notice the gold spammer macros are like 8 lines or more long...

You do realise, addons are opensource.
So a limit wouldn't help as you can freely edit the limit.

For my advertisements, i just made a quick Lua file and added a few functions in it.

read basic lua functions, and you could do the same.

you want this . It hasn't been updated but if you look around you might find a version that is. There's also a fubar update on that ACE site.

It did work the last time I used it. But Gold Selling is the down side up it. the upside. It's fun to sell rp stuff that way like the perfect father's day gift "Mithril Shaving Razor" or the Monocle are fun to spam every 7 mins or so.

The addon does let you chose the channel but it goes by numbers instead of letting you use /Trade because the numbers can change depending on your background chats.

Most addons aren't open source. Just because you can read the code without reverse engineering it doesn't mean it is open source.
