bluffs and removing them

why am I receiving a message saying the nUI can not remove a bluff like that stupid pumpkin head curse, and I have to revert back to the blizzard gui to do that.

Is here any way to restart nUI with out exiting the program and restarting?

Removal of buffs is now part of the protected environment. Majority of addons that modify the buff panel in some way are no longer capable of removing buffs. You'll have to manually remove them with a /cancelaura macro.

To access macros, you type '/macro'

Or you can just type the command to cancel an aura... '/cancelaura {aura name}'

I would like to make a suggestion that you make the buffs have a slash command option to turn of so that we can use the original blizzard ui for this until it gets fixed plz. Also it would be a nice option in the gui for nui.

Hey Scott....

Would it be easy to just put a msg in the chat window on the right click error? something like due to Blizz changing stuff you cant right click these at the moment..... so it doesnt keep tossing up an error ?

Or how SBF does it, says "Dismissing buffs by right click is currently unavailable due to Blizzard shenanigans."

.. Just a though so some ppl dont get all confused...

or.... nUI: Cant cancel buff, type /cancelaura 'auraname' to cancel.

You can use Addon Control Panel. You can use it to enable and disable addons at will and then reload the ui real quick.

It's a very nice addon that I just started using.

You don't even need to use the addon control panel... just use '/nui rl' to reload it.

Addon Control Panel allows you to TURN OFF an addon, do stuff, then turn the addon back on. Without having to log out to character select and clicking the button to manage addons. nUI CAN'T do this, period. You can't have nUI turn itself off and then turn itself back on, since nUI wouldn't respond to commands after it turned itself off.

I think it was a misunderstanding of the question.

When they asked about restarting nUI it was possibly mis read as reloading nUI.

Reload nUI = /nui rl
Restart nUI = turning it back on from the addon control panel or character selection screen

is there a way to disable nui's control over handling buff and debuffs since i cant click a buff off with the nui, even if i use blizz's buffs nui is still preventing me from clicking off buffs

because i am horrible with anything but simple macros..... has anyone tried to write a mouseover macro to do the /cancelaura buff/debuff name

similar to how you can have %t (or whatever it is) to insert the target name into things

seeing i just got home from work i'm a wee bit tired to go try looking up all the correct syntax and such for a mouseover macro or even if it is possible for one to imput the buff name into a /cancelaura funtion

when i log in here in a lil bit, I'll wright a mouseover macro and see if it works. if it does I'll post it here
