Elevator Detection

Is it even possible to dynamically detect elevators and show them on the map? In the past I've been placing note markers where elevators are for convenience (cause I don't always remember where they are off the top of my head), but I would love to see a mod that not only marks current locations but can update itself to add elevators that are added to the game.

I don't believe there is anyting in the API related to elevators and I'm not sure how you would go about detecting them otherwise.

No. You can only build a database yourself (or with the help of others) of the coordinates where elevators are located.
