Resolution problem

Hi,

I have a 22inch screen and it runs on 1680x1050 but when i try to change my resolution ingame to 1600x1200 i get a black screen saying

"Not in optimum mode

Recommended resolution 1680x1050 60hz"

It use to work like this, it reconfigured itself but now it doesnt anymore.
Does anyone know how i get wow to run on 1680x1050?

I have tried to change it in the config file put it just puts it back to 800x600

you might get that due to the screen has a max resolution of 1680x1050 and you're trying to run wow in 1600x1200, meaning that you're trying to stretch 150px below the screen and it gives an error. so you need a bigger screen if you want 1600x1200.

It's impossible to do that, you can ruin your monitor.

Just use 1680x1050... i fail to see what 150 px will do for you anyway(exepct make the UI look strange as hell.) if the game is still going to look like 1680x1050

16x10 is a widescreen resolution, 16x12 is not. So, yeah, you're UI *would* look funny (squares would be rectangles, characters would look squashed, etc).

And your monitor does not support 16x12, as was already noted.
