Addon to display the dead?

My main is a feral druid, and often times I have a hard time finding the dead person I'm called to ressurect... I must run at a fairly low res so screen space is to vaulable to 'waste' on a raid interface that I will ignore 90% of the time.

What I am looking for is an addon that will display only the dead people in my group. I was thinking something a long the lines of Grid, simple and minimalistic.

I thought there was an option for the word "dead" to show on dead players.

Showing only dead people isn't possible I guess, but maybe you can install Grid or perfectraid (they don't take up a lot of space)

Yeah it is possible to have Grid mark the dead but what I am after is an addon that will only display dead group members.

Imagine you're in a 25m raid. Bob the healer, and 3 DPS all died in a fire. The addon would display Bob and the 3 dead DPS, the living 21 members would not be shown at all.

Sure that is possible but you won't be able to click the unitframes, because the frames would not be made as a secureunitheader. You can only filter raidframes by raidgroup, raidrole (tank or assist) or by class. You could however filter a raidframe by a list of specific names, but out of combat. And I don't see how that is going to help casting rebirth

A macro approach also doesn't really work as you can't change macro contents in combat with lua.

What about setting opacity to "hide" those that don't meet the conditional of being dead?

With StufRaid, I have the dead or dc'd shown as ~25% alpha, while the living are 100%. This could easily be switched and have the 25% be set to 0, though I do not believe you could obtain the auto sorting that Grid has.

I would venture to guess that any UF which can have the alpha adjusted for these two states could do what you're looking for.

I'm not sure whether anyone wrote anything that does exactly what you want, but it is not impossible.

Just to reiterate: proper clickable unit frames that are only shown (without alpha trickery) when the unit is dead are entirely within the realm of things you can do with the current StateDriver/SecureHandler implementation.

Thanks for the help folks.

Guess I'll just keep hunting for an addon I can bend to my will. So far I haven't come across a raid frame with an option for conditional re-sizing or transparency. I'll find one eventually though, and if not, I'll just try my hand at modifying one.

Grid. Set the alpha indicator to Dead.

Yeah, it may just have needed to be more explicit.

There is a mod called DeathDealer that shows you dead units as well as giving you the ability to cast a resurrect on them.

You can look at it here:
