Fix all of the bugs?

Thanks... there is one thing I really really really need and haven't had time to work on. Kodewulf was going to work on it but is having network problems and hasn't been able to get online as much.

I need to add a module to [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Integration ] that detects the presence of LDB and LDB mods and allows for creating top and/or bottom bars in nUI to accommodate those LDB plugins.

Anchors are already in place to move the dashboard up and console down to make room for bars... I just need the integration and ability to organize the bars.

It's a tall order, but it's one of the biggest things on my to-do list that I don't have time for compliments of the core work load. I would really really love to be able to allow nUI users to ditch Titan/FuBar and use LDB directly with nUI.

EDIT: PS... The integration needs to detect the presence of LDB and disable itself if LDB isn't installed... in keeping with nUI philosophy, it never bundles other mods/libraries, so it needs to be able to work gracefully without LDB -- it just won't support the LDB plugins if they aren't present.

That sounds good. I will start looking at the LDB stuff now. Would looking at the fubar and titan positioning of bars be the best place to determine how to add the bars. I had already seen the nUI_TopBars and Locator in the code.

Yeah... there's the nUI_TopBars and nUI_BottomBars and there should be associated anchors for each. So those control how much "bar" is visible.

I would guess that a bar height option x number of bars would be the approach to allow users to defined their own desired bar size. But starting with the LDB API would be the best bet and delving into FuBar probably would be the fastest way to see how to get it done. Titan's good... but it has issues, FuBar is far better designed in my opinion.

Suggesgtion about the bar system

I know the new bar system is being worked on and I was just wondering if its going to use the launchers that titan and some LDB's have. In case your not familiar it gives you the option for some things such as prat or titans volume control to have just a group of small icons of to the right side of the bar which will pull up configurations or option windows for those mods instead of them being mixed in with everything else. It also helps to control how much room they take up by making them into a small icon instead of the word or whatever else is used. I know for myself its kinda a must have so hopefully it can get worked in.

I moved this post over here to this thread (a) to be sure Brillynt saw it and (b) to keep it all in context. Brillynt is looking at working on this integration module while I continue on the other core stuff.

I am looking at the launchers also but will probably implement that last. I will let you know how it is going.
