tool tip issues

Love the add on btw. I am having an issue with the tool tip. I dont like the stock blizzard one so i use tip tac. I used the nui gui to put tooltips as default and when ever i scroll over say heal bout or any addon that would act as unit frame the tooltip pops in the upper left hand conner of the screen and also at the mouse when i hover over the nui unit frames. I have all tt tips set to an anchor point but nui seems to be over riding it even tho its set to default. Any idea on how i can stop this

I have seen this reported before and I do believe it is a bug in nUI's current tooltip integration. However, I don't want to invest the time in recording it in nUI5, I would rather address it in the new design for nUI6 and therefore admit that I've kind of chosen to ignore the problem in the interim since it doesn't impact game play so much as it's a visual annoyance.

I used to get that problem and ended up setting tooltips to owner or fixed I think. That way healbot had the tooltips appearing above its frame whereas most other stuff was tooltipped where I put it. It has been awhile though so I am not sure which option I picked but it did resolve the healbot option.

Yeah, the extra tooltip addon may be conflicting. I never used another tooltip addon so never had that specific problem.

I can't get the TipTac anchor to work with nui at all. I do use it for scaling/skinning however.

I would go into Interface > Addons > NUI

Click the "Movers" Button -> this will turn all the stuff on as red squares. You can then move the "Tooltip" box where you'd like your mouse-over anchor (since the tiptac anchor doesn't override nui's). This will take some adjusting if you use TipTac's scaling options, so you will havta move the Mover around to adjust accordingly. And just go back into the "Movers" button and it turns them off from showing.

Hope that helps..

One of the experts might be able to help with that one. I do believe its built into the HUD however. And without editing lua files I'm not sure if scott has mover options for the HUD in nui like other HUD's i've seen.

Could always turn it off and use something else for that information !

I can't imagine removing the enemy cast bar from the HUD... that would be hell in boss fights. However, if you are sure you want to do that or if you just want to move the casting bar, you would edit [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > HUDLayouts > {HUD mode} > nUI_HUDSkin_{HUD mode}_Target.lua ] and look for the ["Casting"] section. If you want to remove it entirely then you can just comment it out like this...

Code:
--[[
["Casting"] =
{
    stuff = something...
},
]]--
The two blue lines are the ones that comment it out.

If you just want to move it, then you can look at the anchor= section fir the cast bar and change the values of xOfs and yOfs to move the casting bar left and right or up and down.

There will be an ["Auras"] section in the unit layout files located in [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > UnitPanels > {panel mode} > nUI_UnitSkin_{panel mode}Target.lua ] -- As before, you will want to modify the xOfs and yOfs values of the anchor section as required.
