Mini map docking issue

before the recent patch there was a feature with carbonite where the minimap would actually be below my player icon on the map instead of docking in one of the corners of the map is this bugged or am i missing and option? i found it very useful for herb and mine gathering any 1 else having this issue or know what im even talking about?

Right click a non icon area of map, select "Minimap..." and check the settings.

"Docking Below Map Scale" default is .6. Try changing that.

There is also a Minimap page in the Options window with more settings.
