How do i target a unit in group or raid?

Since TargetUnit() or TargetUnitByName() is both not working anymore?

I need some code to do this via lua or piece of code to execute a macro from lua.

What do you need to do? Arbitrary targeting from insecure code has been disabled for years. There are limited ways to target but it's hard to suggest something without knowing what you're trying to do.

Lua targeting, not possible.
Creating a macro with lua that is targeting people is possible, but changing the name of target in the macro is possible only out of combat.
