Wierd "aspect ratio" problem with just nUI

I'm not sure why or how this happened, but all of a sudden my nUI is "squished". Please see the 2 attached pictures to see what I mean. Please note that in the first image, I have captured from the top edge of my monitor. I did not cut off the top part. The UI is drawing the text beyond the top edge. Also note the buttons in the 2nd image are "skinny" instead of square like they used to be.

Any ideas?

Did you change display resolutions?

I've been having the same problem, not with the top bar, but more so with the pet/aspect bar shifting around. It's not a problem for me to use /nui movers to keep putting it back in a reasonable place though. I have recently switched to a new monitor/resolution, was there something I should have done that I missed?

The pet/aspect bar problem is a completely different issue... that's being caused by a Blizzard change in how those bars work. It's already fixed in nUI6, but won't be fixed in nUI5 as it requires a rewrite of those bars.

Not exactly. I'm using a custom windowed resolution 2130x1600, but I've been using this resolution for about 6 months and not had a problem until recently. If I switch to a "normal" resolution like 2560x1600 it looks fine. Unfortunately, my play setup necessitates using the custom resolution of 2130x1600. As much as I love nUI, I'd have to change to something else before I change my resolution. I really don't want to do that though. =(

See this post: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=20917

I fixed a bug in the scaling system that is likely why you're seeing this now. The fact that you're using a non-standard resolution makes is impossible for nUI to correctly scale the vertical axis. You can, however, use the info in that post to work out the correct scaling and manually set it.

Thanks. I was able to fix the problem using those instructions. However, the numbers I ended up using are WAY different than what I came up with using your formulas. =)

I'm using 0.63 for hscale and 0.60 for vscale. Using your formulas, I came up with 0.83 and 0.80. Maybe my math was bad?

It's possible... those formulas are based on having either a standard PC 4:3 aspect ratio or a HD wide screen aspect ratio. When you start getting into random aspect ratios, all bets are kinda off.
