Now that I am back on a summer raiding schedule, I am finding that I have to disable nUI+ on both my warlock and hunter. The performance is really bad and costs me almost 900dps on the warlock and 2200dps on the hunter. I may have to do the same with the multi-boxing my RaF toons, which really hurts. Hopefully these issues will not be there in 6. I will continue playing with the setups and testing to see if I can isolate the lag perps.
Don't bother trying to isolate where the lag's coming from in nUI5 -- I already know. Try installing the nUI6 alpha (with nUI5 still installed) and see if that doesn't address the FPS issues you're seeing.
What people don't get is that I am, ultimately, an artist at heart. My brush has two colors, 1 and 0, and my canvas is made of silicon.
Ok. I have just brought up my #2 and #3 machines dedicated for WoW. All 3 machines are identical running Windows 7, Intel Core 5 750 Processor, 4GB DDR3-1333 RAM, 1TB SATA Hard Drive, NVIDIA GeForce GTS250 1GB
Machine #1 - I am running my standard raid setup (pre-nUI+) which is CT-Mods, DBM, Omen, Recount, Flo (for hunter bars), Event Horizon (Hunter & Warlock module), and Heatsink (for tracking internal cooldowns).
Machine #2 - I am running latest version of nUI+ 5 and same mods.
Machine #3 - I am running nUI+ 6 Alpha and same mods.
I will test out each machine and configuration this week with an ICC10 and an ICC25 run. I have 2 hunters, a warlock, and a boomkin that I can raid with.
