As I've stated elsewhere, you can use Grid with nUI6, but it is my intent and goal to eliminate the need to use Grid. I will be supporting the key features you just listed in the nUI unit frames.

Okay, sounds nice to. Eliminate one Addon.

Than I have a question about the Frames and the Ram use. I know there a out there some people don't have so much RAM.
Therefor it is maybe possible to split nUI in different Addon's (folders). So that you have the nUI Core and then packages for the Frames. (like DBM does)
So then you have and extra folder for the battleground frames (15 and 40), an extra folder for the Arena sets (2vs2,3vs3,5vs5), a standard Raidframeset (10 and 25). And that extra as Healer set. So then nUI only loads on demand what it need. That will decrease the Memory used extremely.

Then you'll have 7 nUI Folders or so. That will help much people.

Yeah I know thats sucks, that you have have so many folders in the "Addon" folder, but for stability and all that that would be cool.

I'm don't have that problem, because I have 1 GB G-DDR3 graphic with 4 GB DDR3 and using a old 19" monitor, but with the new 22" and 24" Inch monitors the 1 GB G-DDR3 will be really full, I really notice on my old computer that the RAM setup is really important. On my Laptop wich a CAD optimized graphic card and a use of the monitor based 1400 resolution, I don't have many RAM anymore left. (2GB with WinXP running)

So maybe that's a thing we should talk about I think, or do you say you can't do that, without fps drop-down?

I don't want to split nUI up into multiple addons... in fact, that's counter to everything nUI is intended to be. At present, nUI is only using 12meg of RAM and I don't anticipate it getting a whole lot higher than that. Even if it reaches 20meg, that's still a drop in the bucket. There's no reason why 20meg should cause a player issues with the rare exception of someone who's playing on a machine wholly inadequate for playing WoW... in which case I would recommend they not use a custom UI.

Besides, 9/10 times it's not the memory that is messing people's FPS, it's the CPU cycles.

Loving the work so far Scott, so far seems much FPS friendly, and the look of the raid layouts you have posted look brilliant. Thanks for all the hard work your putting in.

I REALLY REALLY like the way you have the buff for players and their targets setup in NUI5. One of the main reasons I despise the WoW standard UI is because of the way the buffs for a player are setup. With NUI6 it seems you are using the standard wow UI buff setup. I really hope you don't. Thats one of the features that sets NUI apart from the WoW standard UI. I much prefer seeing the buff(and actual WORDS saying what it is like in NUI5) than seeing a big tacky icon like with the wow standard UI and apparently NUI6. Just my 2 cents anyway

No... I only have the WoW buffs displayed at present because I have not yet enabled the buff display in nUI6.
