Herbalism problems

I am picking herbs and i only want to select the range of herbs that my skill can pick. I can select the range and the range is shown on minimap so i use the route option for current gather locations but when i reach the first herb location ALL the herbs in the area are back displayed. Is this a bug ?

Can carbonite gather locations be disabled and can i use another helper like gatherer/gathermate with a routing function ?

Yes you can disable Carbonite's nodes. Right click on your map/minimap and select show from the menu. Then uncheck the herbalism nodes.

You might want to have a look at this thread: Carbonite Nodes, Routing, and You. It's a "sticky" on the Carbonite General forum. You will need to know what herbs (or ore, for miners) your skill level can harvest to properly set up your route.

If you really don't want to use Carbonite to route you, you could try this combination of addons: GatherMate (at WoWAce) , GatherMate_Data (at WoWAce) , and Routes.

What I like about GatherMate is that it includes a filtering system for nodes, and has all of the node types marked with the required skill level for picking them up.

I'd like it more if the filtering list was organized by skill level, instead of alphabetically, but it's good enough.
