You've thought about it. You've considered doing it. You've wondered to yourself, "Self, why should engineers be the only ones that get to make crazy things?" Well, now we’re giving you a reason to go for it! You too can write a crazy mod that has no apparent “worth” other than just to make you laugh. And if it’s crazy enough, you’ll get rewarded for it! We have 10 (in-game) dragon kites that we are giving away to mod authors! Here’s the scoop:
We are starting this today and running it for three (3) weeks.- Mods must not violate Blizzard’s EULA or ToU
- Mods must not be anything that will annoy other players. No spamming global channels or anything. They must only affect the individual person that has it installed.
- Only one prize per author.
- Upload your mod to our ROFL download category by 8 August 2008.
- All mods in the ROFL download category by that date will be considered (yes, even if they were already there before the contest started).
You can upload more than one mod if you wish to, but we are looking for quality not quantity.
The staff at WoWInterface will choose their 10 favorite mods over the weekend and announce the winners the following week. All decisions are final and appeals will be met with the breaking of a breadstick over your head!
So go crazy! Start writing your silly, whacky, nutty mod today!
